About

b. 2001 in Canada, lives in Berlin

I construct new and absurd narratives through visual grouping, where a dialogue between kitsch and class frequently enters. The sensation of constantly receiving input is manifested, and seemingly unrelated ideas come together to form an ensemble. Inspiration for my work stems from online as well as real world sources. Still frames from videos, images from the internet, song lyrics analysis, song titles, and my own photography create a database from which I connect the dots for my next piece. Referencing digital and popular culture in the traditional medium of oil painting creates a tension that reflects my now.
